The Vi Derm Clear HQ Free Skin Brightener is a product developed to correct uneven skin tone and age spots. It exfoliates and refines the skin, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. What was my experience with Vi Derm Clear HQ Free Skin Brightener? Read on…
I’m always interested in trying lightening or brightening products because I do have sun damage on my skin and areas of hyperpigmentation. The “HQ Free” in Vi Derm Clear HQ Free Skin Brightener refers to the fact that there is no hydroquinone in this product. What it does contain is retinol, Kojic Acid, Azelaic Acid, Arbutin and Licorice extract; all ingredients that help to exfoliate and refine the skin while inhibiting hyper pigmentation, including melasma.
I applied the product in the morning and at nighttime to cleansed skin. At the 6 week point, I was beginning to see slight improvement and lightening of sunspots and improvement in areas of hyperpigmentation. When using these types of products, you need to be prepared to use the product a full 12 weeks or longer before completely determining efficacy. While using Vi Derm Clear HQ Free Skin Brightener, I didn’t experience any skin irritation–a plus for any brightening product.
The Vi Derm line includes other products, such as a Cleanser, Vitamin C Gel and the Vi Derm Peel, which is performed in a medi-spa or doctor’s office. It’s an acid peel that can be used for acne, hyperpigmentation, melasma or anti-aging benefits. The medi-spa office that I go to has just started to offer the Vi Derm Peel (cost is around $300) and I’m hoping they’ll have a special, so I can try it.
The Vi Derm line is available in medi-spas and doctor’s offices. For more information on retailers, check the Kalil Medical website.
