MAC has an almost unparallelled understanding of makeup, so when new products in the foundation and concealer categories are introduced, I’m definitely interested.  The newest launches, MAC Pro Longwear Foundation and Pro Longwear Concealer don’t disappoint.  Read on for my review.

MAC Pro Longwear SPF 10 Foundation incorporates the newest technology like flexible film-former to provide transfer resistance and long wear–up to 15 hours!  I received a sample to try in NW20; normally I wear NC20 in Studio Sculpt, but even though the shade was not an exact match, I was still able to determine wearability, coverage, etc.

I applied the foundation using brush, a sponge and my fingers, but liked the results with the brush best.  The foundation has good pigmentation, so I didn’t need more than a pump to cover my face.  The addition of silicones to the formula gives this foundation good workability, but it does dry rather quickly to a true matte finish that lasts all day.  Overall, I think this is an excellent foundation.

I’ve been using MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC20, which is a perfect match for my skin and I must say, I love this concealer!  The most important thing to me is the ability to cover up dark circles (my nemesis) and this concealer excels in that department.  I’ve used both a brush and my ring finger to blend this concealer in and for this product, I get the best result using a brush.  The only drawback is that you almost always dispense too much product because of the pump.

MAC Pro Longwear SPF Foundation ($33) and MAC Pro Longwear Concealer retails at $16.50.  Both products are permanent additions to the line and are available at all MAC locations, including Nordstrom and at
