Kiehl’s Since 1851 introduces Dermatologist Solutions’ Photo-Age Corrector High-Potency Spot Treatment, a preventative, corrective and anti-aging brightening treatment that can be used by all ages and all ethnicities.

The latest entrant into the hotter-than-ever spot treatment category, Kiehl’s Photo-Age Corrector High-Potency Spot Treatment uses a two-pronged approach.  First, target the visible damage and second help prevent the invisible damage.  When using these products, consistency is key; a year-round regimen that includes daily sunscreen and use of a product like this is essential to repair daily UV damage.

To target the visible, Photo-Age Corrector’s formula includes light-reflecting mineral radiance builders to reflect light and provide luminosity.  These include Mica, Titanium and Bismuth Oxychloride.

Next, to help treat and preempt the invisible damage, the formula contains L-Ascorbbyl Glucoside (a more stable form of vitamin c), Plum Fruit Extract, Sakura Leaf Extract, Ellagic Acid, an antioxidant that is a derivitive of vitamin c and Calcium Pantetheine Sulfonate, which research shows acts as a melanin-inhibitor.  These ingredients help to decrease or slow down melanin production over time and increase antioxidant protection.

In my use of Kiehl’s Photo-Age Corrector High Potency Spot Treatment, I found the product to be non-irritating to my skin and easy to use.  I applied a pea-sized amount of the cream to cleansed skin morning and at night, before any other skincare products.  I did see a more radiant appearance to my skin with slight reduction of dark spots.  I didn’t see results with this product as quickly as others I’ve used.  But the key is that with sun damage, there’s nothing wrong with slow and steady.

Kiehl’s Photo-Age Corrector High Potency Spot Treatment comes in a 1.0 ounce tube, retails at $ 49.00 and can be purchased in Kiehl’s freestanding stores and online at
