“Practical” is not a word I usually associate with “presents”, but this holiday season, Land’s End has helped me see that pretty + practical can equal a great present!
Winter in the Midwest, where I live, is a matter of cold weather survival and that often means that you’re at odds with being able to find a fashionable jacket that can keep you warm. I was excited when Land’s End offered me the opportunity to try a Women’s Chevron Down Parka. Fashion plus warmth? I had to see it to believe it.
The Land’s End Women’s Chevron Down Parka is a new style this season. Gone are the big puffy squares of down that make you look like the Michelin Man. Instead, Land’s End has actually added princess seams to shape the parka and added stitching in a chevron pattern–giving you a more slender appearance. I love that!
The Chevron Down Parka is filled with features that make this a great jacket to own. The jacket boasts 600 fill power down, making it warm (in temps of up to -30…yes!) yet lightweight. I like the touches like a removable hood, the hidden pockets (again, for a more flattering line) and fleece cuffs inside the sleeves to prevent the wind from going up your arms. The fit is true-to-size. The best thing to report is that it’s absolutely one of the toastiest and nicest looking down parkas you’ll ever own!
The Land’s End Women’s Chevron Down Parka retails at $129.50 and is available at www.landsend.com. Pretty and practical? No problem!
