Like many M∙A∙C products, new Studio Careblend Pressed Powder was road-tested by M∙A∙C Senior Artists and the M∙A∙C Pro Team at Fashion Weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris. They love the luxurious feel and ultra-smooth, non-powdery looking application. Read on for my thoughts….
M∙A∙C Studio Careblend Pressed Powder is part of the new Future Face Collection, a collection designed to blur the line between skincare and makeup. This pressed powder blends high technology crosspolymers, micronized treated pigments and ultra-fine Venetian particles to give amazing glide and adhesion on the skin. Plus, thanks to a unique botanical complex of Safflower Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Olive Oil and Lecithin skin looks like skin –and not cakey, dry or chalky!
I’ve been testing and wearing Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in the Medium shade. I love the look and feel of this powder on your skin. You can wear it alone as a base, over moisturized skin, as a setting powder on top of foundation and/or use it for touch-ups. I’ve tried it every which way.
On bare skin, it’s a pretty sheer coverage and it is buildable. If your skin is in good condition, this is a great way to wear it, but if you have areas of hyperpigmentation or are trying to cover other imperfections, you may have to layer it over foundation. My preference is to wear this over a tinted moisturizer or to give a polished look over foundation.
M∙A∙C Studio Careblend Pressed Powder is available in 8 shades and retails at $23.00 ($27.50 CDN). You can find it at all M∙A∙C locations and at www.maccosmetics.com.
