NARS has introduced new Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner. With eyeliner being a key makeup trend for Fall, I couldn’t wait to get try this new formula out. Read on for my thoughts…
I think we can agree that what’s important in an eyeliner is pigmented color, a smudge-proof finish and long-wear. NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner delivers on all counts. Formulated for the perfect balance between creaminess and structure and available in nine dramatic shades, Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliners are named after the most iconic streets in the world.
The collection includes:
- Via Veneto – deep black
- Santa Monica Blvd – crisp white
- Via Appia – copper brown
- Abbey Road – irridescent turquoise
- Bourbon Street – festive purple
- Rue Bonaparte – light almond
- Rue Saint-Honoré – deep royal blue
- Madison Avenue – slate gray
- Rue di Rivoli – metallic forest green
The 411: I ordered two shades–Bourbon Street and Madison Avenue. I generally prefer lining with gray (especially on the waterline) because it’s a little less harsh-looking on me. In terms of color, there is excellent depth and color payoff. The easy-to-use pencil has a built-in sharpener for extra precision. The color on the end of the pencil is very true to the actual shade.
Once applied, this eyeliner is on and doesn’t budge. Wear on the waterline will vary, but on me, it lasted a full 8 hours-plus. “Long-wear” isn’t hype; you will need to use makeup remover to take this eyeliner off. Overall, I think the quality is excellent and I plan to go back and purchase more colors.
