“What perfect skin wears underneath”, Guerlain’s Lingerie de Peau Foundation is a foundation that has a “second skin” feeling once applied. It is easily one of the most natural looking foundations I’ve ever used. Read on for my thoughts…
The Lingerie de Peau formula is sheer, natural-looking and gives your face a flawless finish. To achieve that, each foundation shade is a unique and subtle bouquet of four pigments. These ultra-fine and crystalline powders direct light at different angles, to insure that the final color perceived by the eye is perfect.
Lingerie de Peau is also comprised of both silk and linen fibers, which have a natural compatability with the skin. It’s important to me that my foundation becomes one with my skin–I don’t want to “feel” my makeup. This foundation is breatheable and lightweight, yet it covers minor skin imperfections and evens out skin tone beautifully. Once on, it looks like your skin, only better. I also like that the formula has an SPF 20 in it, yet doesn’t feel heavy or impart a white cast.
Guerlain Lingerie de Peau ($56) is available in nine shades; I tested 03 Beige Naturel, which is a good match for a light-medium complexion. You can find it at select Saks Fifth Avenues, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus. Bergdorf Goodman stores as well as online at Sephora.com .
