I hosted Thanksgiving at my house, so that meant tons of food around. In retrospect, that, plus getting out of my routine really screwed me up.  Every day, I eat breakfast, then halfway between breakfast and lunch I might have lowfat string cheese, then lunch, then an afternoon snack, then dinner and dessert.  So my body has adjusted to every few hours getting refueled.

On Thanksgiving, I went completely off schedule.  We ate about 2:00 in the afternoon, so breakfast was fine, but obviously I would be skipping lunch in lieu of dinner.  In the meantime, my sister came with appetizers.  So we grazed. And grazed. And grazed. Then had dinner. And although I had small portions, they were small portions of EVERYTHING.

That night, my stomach rebelled at the totality of the day.  Oh my, bring out the Pepto! What I realized is that I need to take better care of myself so that this doesn’t happen again at Christmas.  Luckily, that’s at my sister’s house, so I can stay on schedule right up until the time we leave to go over.  Lesson learned!

This week, even with Thanksgiving, I lost .6 lbs., making my total weight loss to date, 61 lbs. I think getting back to Zumba definitely helped.
