I’ve just completed my second week (14 days) of using the PaloVia Skin Renewing Laser and I’m starting to see and feel changes in the skin around my eye area. This week what I’ve noticed is that the skin actually feels tighter. Read on for more…
As you age, the collagen and elastin in your skin breaks down. The heat generated from the use of the PaloVia Skin Renewing Laser stimulates increase production of collagen and elastin, resulting in smoother looking skin. In my case, I can feel that the skin in the areas that I’m treating is getting tighter.
Because I’ve been using the PaloVia Skin Renewing Laser on the high setting, I still have areas of pink in the area around my eyes in the morning. This is easily covered with a bit of concealer. My skin has also become very dry, particularly at the outer corner of the eye (where the crow feet are) and where I use the laser. I’m using both an eye cream and heavier moisturizer in the hopes of relieving the dryness.
I can see the difference that the treatments are making, too. I think using the laser in the under-eye area (where indicated), is helping to improve the puffiness that I often have. If you missed it, you can find my Week 1 pictures here. I have to say that I’m amazed at the results, given the amount of time. It may not look like I have alot of lines or crow’s feet to treat, but I certainly do. This is what happens when I crinkle my eye area!
Disclosure: Palomar Medical Technologies has provided me with a complimentary laser for my use in testing. At the end of my treatment period, I have been offered the opportunity to receive a photo shoot in New York, along with transportation, lodging and food.
