The Thakoon for NARS Nail Collection marks the first collaboration between Francois Nars and another fashion designer in the nail category.  I’m so glad it finally happened, because these brilliant shades of nail polish only make me want one thing…more!  Read on…

I’ve always been a fan of NARS nail polishes, loving the fashion-forward colors and the forumula. The Thakoon for NARS Nail Collection continues in that tradition.  Bright, colorful hues of saturated color with excellent staying power. In developing the collection, Thakoon was inspired by the vibrant colors found in Indian spice market — that inspiration definitely comes through.

The six shades in the Thakoon for NARS Nail Collection include:

  • Anardana –  Azalea pink
  • Ratin Jot – Orchid purple
  • Amchoor – Bright yellow
  • Kutki – Powder blue
  • Koliary –  Cyan blue
  • Lal Mirchi – Mandarin red (only available at NARS 413 Bleecker Street Boutique)

I tried two of the shades–Ratin Jot and Koliary and love them. The colors pop against your skin–perfect for summer.  I had these shades on for a week without any chipping and only slight wear at the tips.  The creme formula is easy to apply and more out of habit than necessity, I applied two coats.  I am planning to also pick up the Anardana shade for summer.

The Thakoon for NARS Nail Collection retails at $18 per shade and is available in department stores and online now at and starting May 1st.  Do you plan on picking up any of the Thakoon for NARS Nail Collection?  Let me know in the comments!
