When you’re trying to lose weight, it’s so easy to get caught up in measuring success only by pounds lost, yet there are so many other things to celebrate.  Something I saw on Twitter to one of the other Nutrisystem Nation Bloggers reminded me how important it is to celebrate the non-scale victories, too.  Read on for more…

I’ve never been comfortable calling alot of attention to myself, so sometimes I struggle as I write about my weight loss journey.  My dad always taught us to be humble, work hard and keep my nose to the grindstone; I guess I took that to heart.  But I have definitely had those “pinch me” moments on my Nutrisystem journey!

For instance, now when I go to a department store, the fact that I no longer have to go to the Plus Size section to shop is a victory to me.  I’ve done that for so long, I’m not sure I’ll be able to break the habit. But just yesterday I walked into a department store, in the “regular” women’s department, took a pair of jeans off the rack, tried them on and they FIT! I’ve dropped 3-4 clothes sizes since starting Nutrisystem; major celebrating!

Each week, whether the scale shows it or not, I know that what I’m doing is increasing my self-confidence and making me healthier in mind and body. That’s definitely a win and keeps me motivated to stick to my plan when it seems like the scale isn’t moving.

I’m lucky to be celebrating a “scale” victory today, too, as I’ve lost 2 lbs., making my total weight loss on Nutrisystem, 84 lbs!  If you’d like to try out the Nutrisystem® SUCCESS™ plan that I’m on, visit www.nutrisystem.com/success4u or call 1-888-841-2572.  Do you remember to celebrate non-scale victories?
