MAC has introduced Fashion Sets…3-piece collections of best selling MAC shades, loved the world over. If you’re a MAC fan, chances are you already own one of these favorites. Perfectly color-coordinated beauty? Yes, please!

This year one major trend in beauty has been to match your nail color to your lip color.  Sometimes that isn’t as easy as it sounds.  MAC Fashion Sets solve that problem, as I can tell you from previewing the collection, the color matches perfectly, regardless of the product.  Each 3-piece collections includes a lipstick, lipglass and nail lacquer.

MAC Fashion Sets are available in 7 classic palettes:

Myth – Light neutral nude (satin)

Snob – Light neutral pink (satin)

Spice – Mid-tone neutral nude (satin)

Girl About Town – Bright blue fuchsia (amplified)

Russian Red – Mid-tone neutral red (matte)

Rebel – Mid-tone cream plum (satin)

Chestnut – Rich chocolate brown (satin)

Of the shades that I previewed, the set that I liked best was Girl About Town.  This bright fuchsia works as a beautiful neutral and wherever I wore it, I got compliments.  Definitely don’t miss the Nail Lacquer in Girl About Town–it’s a must have.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the shades–they’re classics, after all!  I will say that of the four shades/sets I tried (Swatches from left-to-right are: Snob, Russian Red, Myth and Girl About Town), the coverage and pigmentation are great, particularly the darker shades. With Myth, as like many light shades, you need to build the color to get the intensity you want. Since Fashion Sets are limited-edition, I’ve already ordered the Rebel set, as I just know that I will need that dark wine shade for Fall.

MAC Fashion Sets are available now at MAC counters and online at The Lipstick and Lipglass retail at $14.50 each, the Nail Lacquer at $16.00.
