Anne Hathaway made another fashionable awards show appearance last night at the 19th Annual SAG Awards. The actress took home the award for the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actress for her moving portrayal of Fantine in Les Miserables. Hathaway stunned in a sheer black Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown. Read on for how to get the look…
I thought this was the best I’ve seen Anne Hathaway’s hair since she went short for the film. The look for the SAG Awards was an effortless pixie with her bangs swept to the side. The look was created by Fekkai stylist Adir Abergel.
To recreate Anne’s look (all products by Fekkai):
1. Begin with wet hair and apply Fekkai COIFF Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel to roots. Create texture at your ends with Fekkai COIFF Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray
2. Using a comb create a deep part to your preferred side
3. Next, dry hair with a diffuser to work with hair’s natural texture. Gently run fingers through hair and sweep it back from the face to create lift at the roots
4. Finish with a light misting if Fekkai COIFF Sheer Hold Hairspray to keep the effortless look in place all evening
Anne Hathaway doesn’t need much makeup; her skin is flawless. CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Kate Lee created the look:
FACE: “On this occasion, I chose CHANEL Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15. This foundation is opaque and gives a velvety effect.”
BLUSH: “The definition of the cheeks and cheekbones are synergistically a part of the complexion, and I always regard them as part of my base. For this look I wanted to create a tactile effect and to bring a beautiful apricot hue to the apples of the cheeks to offset the lip colour. I used Jouer Mineral Powder Blush in Peach Bouquet.”
EYES: “On the eyes, I used CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Fauve to trace the socket and longate the eye. Lashes were curled and given a generous coat of CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir. I added a few extra lashes. The lid and brow bone were nude with a touch of light concealer.”
LIPS: “The look was all about the lip. Annie has full, beautifully balanced lips. This evening we decided to go for a colour that was a more intense version of her natural colour. CHANEL Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Taffetas Rose is a perfect deep rose/raspberry shade that is just a few shades more intense than her lips at their reddest.”
NAILS: Did you catch a glimpse of Anne flashing her nails on the red carpet? L’Oréal Paris Worldwide Nail Artist Tom Bachik created the look to complement Anne’s edgy-meets-glamorous gown. Clearly she loved it!
To create the look Tom used two coats of L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail in I Will! before applying a few butterfly accents (a romantic but subtle touch) to Anne’s middle and ring fingers (left hand) and the ring finger of her right hand. For Anne’s toes, Tom added a layer of sparkle to Anne’s gold base by using L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail in a limited-edition shade from the Diamonds Collection, Sparklicious.
