Here’s a true confession…I had never used a COVERGIRL foundation until just recently. Not for any particular reason, I guess I didn’t think I would find a drugstore foundation that would hold up to my critical judgement. I’ve been testing the new COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation.  Read on for my thoughts.

Maybe part of the reason I haven’t been keen on drugstore foundations is “back in the day”, I seem to recall so many that would oxidize and turn orange. Yeah, that’s not a look that anyone should go for. I really was curious about the new Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation…how would it hold up? The formula is interesting. The “3-in-1” gives you the benefits of a primer, foundation and concealer in one bottle. That’s not just marketing hype, that was my finding, too. I also didn’t need “extra” concealer coverage under the eye area; the foundation took care of it.

The shade I’ve been using is #832 Nude Beige. I was impressed with the coverage (medium, buildable) that you can achieve with Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation and the fact that it stays on all day and definitely doesn’t oxidize or turn color. There is an SPF 20 in the formula, which I like, however it doesn’t make the foundation feel heavy or chalky and gives a matte finish. It feels and looks good on your skin, which is what a foundation should do. And it’s a small detail, but I do like that there is an expiration date stamped on the back label; I wish more companies did that. All in all, I was very happy with this foundation and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation comes in 14 shades and retails at under $10 in discount, drug and grocery stores nationwide. Have you tried COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation yet? Let me know in the comments!
