Read on for the details…

As always, M·A·C is right on trend, with the introduction of Baking Beauties. Pastels are always a staple for spring and while this collection focuses on pastels, they still pack a punch.

Pink Buttercream

In for a Treat

The stars of the collection are the Pearlmatte Face Powders ($29) in Pink Buttercream (light silvery pink base with dark pink flowers and mint leaves) and In for a Treat (champagne base with matte coral flower and mint leaves). These Face Powders are adorable and would make a perfect gift–think Mother’s Day or graduation. I love the whimsical posies–so cute!

There are four Baking Beauties Lipsticks ($15): Pure Decoration (light white peach cremesheen), Raspberry Swirl (light white blue pink cremesheen), Lavendar Whip (light cool lavendar cremesheen) and Devil’s Food (glossy deep plum frost).

I also love the Baking Beauties Mineralize Tinted Lip Balms ($19.50) in: Baking Beauty (creamy light peach), Cheery Cherry (creamy mid-tone blue pink–my favorite), Sweet Tooth (creamy lilac) and Glace (pale baby blue). These feel great on the lips and I love how convenient they are!

Another favorite–the Pro Longwear Paint Pots ($18.50)–are included in the Baking Beauties Collection. Shades include Fancy Fosting (frosted white), Let’s Skate (pale pink with pearl, Mooncake (warm beige), Eclair (light chocolate with gold pearl) and Dangerous Cuvee (frosted cool grey). These aren’t all new shades; I had a few from other collections, but I like to use Paint Pots as a primer. They really add depth to whatever you’re adding on top, plus they’re really long-wearing.

There are two Glitters ($21) in the collection: Reflects Transparent Teal (sparkling white with turquoise) and Pink (bright pink).

Nail Lacquers, always a favorite, include Confectionary (light blue pink cream), Pistachio Creme (light teal mint cream) and Bleu Velvet (light periwinkle blue cream). I liked all three colors and swatched Bleu Velvet. I find that with the lighter colors, I need three coats to really give a well-pigmented result and that was the case here.

Overall, the M·A·C Baking Beauties Collection is perfect for late spring into summer and I as usual, I love the theming. The M·A·C Baking Beauties Collection is available now at all M·A·C locations, including Nordstrom and at  Have you picked up any pieces from this collection? Treat yourself!
