For Fall 2013, NARS delivers a makeup collection that makes a statement with color. Rich, sultry, this collection is not for the timid. Read on for more…
The focal point of this collection is the eyes, with four colorful eyeshadows and a modern, matte lip. The collection is fashion-forward, as you would expect from NARS.
The lineup for the NARS Fall 2013 Color Collection includes:
KAMCHATKA Single Eyeshadow – Navy Smoke (matte), $24
NAMIBIA Single Eyeshadow – Grey Moon (matte), $24
YAMAL Single Eyeshadow – Maple Sugar (Limited Edition)(matte), $24
BAVARIA Single Eyeshadow – Deep Sea Blue (shimmer), $24
VIA DE’ MARTELLI Larger Than Life® Long Wear Eyeliner in Chocolate, $24
LAS RAMBLAS Larger Than Life® Long Wear Eyeliner in Yellow gold (Limited Edition), $24
LA PAZ Pure Matte Lipstick – Orchid (Limited Edition), $26
PELOPONNESE Pure Matte Lipstick – Ginger Pink, $26
PAIMPOL Velvet Matte Lip Pencil – Pink Chiffon, $25
MYSTERIOUS RED Velvet Matte Lip Pencil – Crimson Red (Limited Edition) $25
GALATHÈE Nail Polish – Dove Grey (Limited Edition), $19
FURY Nail Polish – Regal Purple (Limited Edition), $19
I had the opportunity to preview several of the products in this new collection and they are stunning. I tried the Kamchatka and Namibia eyeshadows and the Fury Nail Polish. As is customary for NARS, each of these products are supremely pigmented. I predict that the Kamchatka and Namibia eyeshadows will be what you use for this Fall’s smokey eye. Don’t miss them–they’re gorgeous. Pair the Kamchatka and Namibia eyeshadows with the Mysterious Red Velvet Matte Lip Pencil (skip the blush!) and you have a confident, sexy look.
The Fury Nail Polish also did not disappoint. The color is ultra-pigmented and you could easily get by with one coat, but I did two out of habit. The color is deep and rich–if you are a purple lover like I am, you’ll get alot of wear out of this shade, especially as we get into Fall.
For comparison, if you have New York Dolls from the Andy Warhol Collection, Fury is a warmer, darker and richer shade. I would say New York Dolls is cooler, with more blue undertones to it.
