The Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Collection includes:

BB Rich Chocolate palette

The Rich Chocolate Palette (limited-edition)

If you’re a regular Beauty411 reader, you know that I’ve been a Bobbi Brown fan forever. My introduction to the line was a 3-pan palette in various shades of brown. That palette completely changed the way I thought about makeup! A well-coordinated palette of brown shades is like foundation for your eyes. What I love about this one, is that there are colors that can be mixed and layered for basic daytime looks, darker shades for a smoky eye and shadows with different textures that can be layered or used solo. My recommendation is to get this palette–it’s a smart investment. Shades include: Bone Eye Shadow, Cocoa Eye Shadow, Stone Eye Shadow, Frappe Eye Shadow, Champagne Truffle Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow, Caramel Sparkle Eye Shadow, Rich Chocolate Eye Shadow, $52

Bobbi Brown-Rich Chocolate Collection blushes

There are two Limited-Edition Blushes in the collection, Pink Coral and Berry. If you can swing it, I’d say get both. Why? The Pink Coral is almost certainly the most perfect shade of blush that I own (and I’m a certified blush-aholic). Most women have elements of warm and cool in their skin tone and this blush picks up both. And while you might be afraid of the Berry, don’t be! I applied it with a very light hand and fluffy brush and blended, blended, blended. Then I went over my upper cheekbones with the Pink Coral and the result is so natural and pretty, I love it! Each shade, $26.

Also in the Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Collection:

Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Bittersweet can best be described as brown-black. I love the formula of the LW Cream Shadow Sticks, because they’re creamy, yet wear so well. This color is great for a super-easy smoky eye or I like smudging it next to the lashline as a liner. $28

Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Lip Gloss-grp

There are three shades of  Lip Gloss, Chocolate Raspberry (which I tried and though it looks dark in the tube, is sheer and slightly tinted on; it looks great over the Lip Color!), Pale Pink and Tea Berry. Two shades of Lip Color in Baby Pink and Berry are also neutral and pretty — you can’t miss with either one, as these shades work perfectly with the colors in the Rich Chocolate Collection.

BB LW Gel eyeliner Dark Chocolate

Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Dark Chocolate Ink ($23) and Long-Wear Eye Pencil in Black Chocolate ($24). I didn’t try, but will be ordering that LW Eye Pencil, because I think the black-brown shade will be way more flattering with my coloring than black. Especially for lining on the waterline, which sometimes looks too severe on me in black.

Limited-Edition Extreme Party Mascara in Black Chocolate. I’ve always loved the Extreme Party Mascara and this is a black-brown shade that looks really natural on.

The Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Collection is available now in department stores and online at I love this collection and think it’s one that you should consider. If nothing else, for one of those mornings when you stand in front of the mirror and don’t know what to do with your makeup. My only wish is that there would have been a nail polish in this collection. A gorgeous berry would have been perfect!
