“This holiday season is all about
Bobbi Brown ushers in the holidays with a return to the classic glamour of Old Hollywood. Rich in golds and reds, I really believe the Old Hollywood Holiday Collection will go down as one of her most beautiful and inspired. Let’s take a closer look….
There is no time like the holidays to elevate your look with the colors and textures of the season. The Bobbi Brown Holiday Collection gives you everything you need, including:
The Old Hollywood Palette: The centerpiece of the collection, this is seriously the most beautiful Bobbi palette I’ve seen. The 9 eyeshadow shades (full size) in the Old Hollywood Palette are neutrals and come in various textures including: Ivory, Golden Pink (sparkle), Gold (sparkle), Opal (sparkle), Fog, Beige, Chocolate Bronze (sparkle), Candlelight Gold (shimmer) and Eclipse. $75
What I love is that these shadows draw light to your eye, yet don’t compete with a bold lip. I had never tried the Bobbi Brown sparkle eyeshadows before and I find that they don’t add a lot of dense color; it’s more a sheer, shimmer effect. Personally, I don’t want a shimmer/sparkle eyeshadow to be densely pigmented; I look for a more subtle finish and that’s what these deliver. Don’t forget to complete your look with the new Smokey Eye Mascara (review) — I’m obsessed!
Ink Liner: Ink-style liners make a winged-out eye or cat-eye so much easier, in my opinion. I’ll be on the lookout for this one; it has a felt tip so that you can just draw on. In Blackest Black, $27.
Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick: Not a fan of liquid liners? In addition to using a Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick as a shadow, you can apply close to the lash line and voila; instant liner/instant smokey eye! In 3 shades: Tuxedo Black, limited-edition 24 Karat and Bronze, $28.
Limited Edition ‘Old Hollywood’ Nail Polish: Two words…get this! I’ve said many times that I love the formula of the Bobbi Brown Nail Polishes. It’s well-pigmented, long-lasting and always great colors. Available in Tuxedo Black (creme), Solid Gold (metallic), Siren Red (cream) and Chrome (glitter). $18
For a holiday mani, I used Solid Gold as my main color, with an accent nail of Tuxedo Black base finished with a top coat of Chrome. Chrome is a beautiful silver-gold holographic glitter. I think this works best as a top coat over a base shade, but it’s stunning on it’s own, too. What I love is that (like everything Bobbi makes) it’s not over-the-top. Solid Gold looks like a shimmer when first applied, but dries to a molten-metallic finish. Solid Gold and Chrome are must haves for the holidays!
Lip Color in Hollywood Red: A rich red with a soft-matte finish, perfect for the ultimate holiday glam lip, $25.
Finally, I could not NOT mention this Lulu Frost for Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood Compact. Inspired by a vintage piece, it’s a showstopper with Swarovski crystals adorning the case. It screams Old Hollywood glamour, doesn’t it? J’adore! $150
The Bobbi Brown Old Hollywood Holiday Collection is available now in department stores including Nordstrom and BobbiBrown.com. I think this is one of the most stunning collections I’ve seen for holiday, don’t you? Do you glam up your makeup for holiday?
