It seems that gifts are getting more and more expensive, so I’m determined to find gifts that are $50 or under that will look like you’ve spent way more. Holiday gift giving that’s a little easier on your wallet. Read on…
The Laura Mercier Hand Crème Sampler Collection ($28) gives a new meaning to rich and luscious texture. With the weather getting colder, everyone can use a good hand cream. This elegant collection is lightly scented and super-hydrating. Scents include Fresh Fig, Crème Brûlée, Almond Coconut Milk and Crème de Pistache. This is a great gift set to pick up and have “on hand” for when you need an unexpected gift.
bareMinerals always has holiday sets with products everyone loves and that are a good value. The “All The Faves” Set ($36) has 8 of bareMinerals’ best sellers. It’s a fab opportunity to try the line or just pick up your favorites in the perfect size for travel. Includes my favorite READY Eyeshadow, READY Blush, Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss and more. Love this one!
M·A·C gift sets are legendary–always exceptional packaging and the products we gals love! This year, one of my must-have gift sets is the limited-edition ‘Nocturnals Tastitints’ Lip Conditioner Set ($32.50). There are four Tastitints lip conditioners: Sugared Vanilla, Dash of Lavender, Mintessence and Taste of Paradise. Honestly, just buy two–because they go fast and once you this set, you’ll never be able to give it away!
Candles always make great gifts, especially if you’re not sure about sizes. I also love to give candles as Hostess gifts. Thymes makes gorgeous scents and I’ve been obsessed with the new Black Currant & Birchwood candle ($32). At 9.5 ounces, it’s substantial and with gourmand, as well as citrus and grass notes, the fragrance isn’t “perfumey”; so guys like it too. I usually keep candles on hand as last-minute gifts.
Gifts from Philosophy are always on my shopping list. The packaging is always so festive–just add a bow. I adore the Home for the Holidays set ($42, a $72 value). Your special person will be gifted with four 4 oz. sizes of the shampoo, shower gel + bubble bath in peppermint stick, cherry pinwheel cookie, raspberry glazed and fresh cream. Plus, there’s a matching lip shine to accompany each flavor! To stretch your gifting even further, break up the set and you have four gifts of a 3-in-1 plus lipshine for less than $11 a piece!
One of Kiehl’s most popular products is the iconic Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Butter. This season, it’s dressed up with an adorable Santa label. Kiehl’s will donate 100% of the net profits from this special edition, up to $100,000 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. Creme de Corps Soy Mile & Honey Whipped Body Butter (8 oz. jar, $38) will be available in two limited-edition scents: Grapefruit and Coriander. With the cold weather here, this makes a thoughtful and practical gift for any guy or gal on your list.
LUSH‘s Jolly Hollydays gift set has everything for a head-to-toe pampering gift…A Buffy Body Butter, Dream Cream, Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter, Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub, Rose Jam Shower Gel and Snowcake Soap. It smells delectible! Plus, it’s packaged in a festive box, complete with ribbon and tag. What could be easier? At $49.95, it’s a nice value and looks like you spent way more.
From Bobbi Brown, the Everyday Pretty Lip & Eye Palette (left) and the Date Night Lip & Eye Palette (right) are gorgeous gifts for a daytime or evening look. Each palette ($30) contains three eye shadows, a High Shimmer Lip Gloss and two Lip Colors. The Everyday Pretty Palette eye shadows include Ivory, Chino and Espresso while the Date Night Palette includes Ivory, Storm Cloud Sparkle and Caviar eye shadows. These palettes are the perfect size for travel, keeping in your gym locker or tucking into a handbag. Love!
If you’re shopping for someone into natural beauty/skincare products, take a look at this gorgeous Candlenut Soap Set from JUARA. It’s gentle on skin and contains a blend of unique oils including Candlenut, Rice Bran and Shea Butter for the ultimate winter indulgence. I wish you could smell the beautiful fragrance, reminiscent of an Indonesian beach! This is a lovely gift for anyone and only $29!
I don’t often recommend big eyeshadow palettes because usually there are so many colors you don’t use. But the Sephora Color Anthology Palette has such a beautiful range of shades, that I think it’s well worth the $35 ($240 value). There are a total of 70 colors organized in a book-like palette, with brights on one side and neutrals on the other. It’s worth it just to get the neutrals! I can’t imagine any beauty girl that wouldn’t love this!
