M·A·C has introduced the Prep+Prime CC Colour Correct Collection, an innovative new line of colour correcting creams and powders that enhance and perfect your skin tone. Color-correcting products are great tools to have in your makeup bag, especially if you have issues with uneven skin tone, sallow skin, dull skin or redness.
The M·A·C Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting Collection includes:
Each of the above products is available in four colour-correcting options:
- ADJUST – peachy beige; good for evening out skin tone
- NEUTRALIZE – yellow; good for neutralizing redness
- ILLUMINATE – lavender; good for illuminating skin tone
- RECHARGE – apricot; good for “re-energizing” the complexion
Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting SPF 30 is a creamy, tinted primer that evens skin tone in a multi-tasking formula. It feels light on the skin, without feeling heavy in silicones and I like that it offers a light-medium coverage. More than “just” a primer, the coverage does hide skin imperfections. I haven’t experienced any heaviness from the addition of the sunscreen, either. The color-correcting option best for me is Adjust.
Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting powders apply transparently, smoothing away the appearance of lines and imperfections. Available in Loose or Compact form, these powders build on the adjustments you are making with the Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting SPF 30, but they can also be used as a stand-alone product to set makeup.
Overall, I like the M·A·C Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting Collection and think it’s a good addition to the permanent line, without being too confusing for the average consumer. You can find the MAC Prep+Prime CC Colour Correcting Collection in department stores and maccosmetics.com. Would you use color correcting products? Let me know in the comments!
