Facial Cleansers-banner

The change of seasons are a great time to re-evaluate your skin care regimen and start to switch from the richer consistencies to lighter formulas. Here are some of my favorites, and as usual, I’m presenting a range of price points, so you can find one that works and is within your budget.

Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil

Garnier is out with a range of new Clean+ Cleansers for every skin type, including Normal, Combination, Oily and Dry. Each cleanser is formulated to address specific concerns for each skin type. I tried several of the formulas and found each one to have a light, fresh fragrance and to be very effective. None of them left my skin feeling stripped or dry. One of my favorites is the Nourishing Cleansing Oil for Dry Skin–the first cleansing oil available in the mass market! It easily removes makeup and leaves skin feeling smooth and soft. This cleanser is also available in a Cream.  $7.99

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser

While I often recommend NEUTROGENA® Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser for during the winter, there’s another classic formula I like for spring. You know how I love a multi-tasking product; that’s exactly what Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser does. This foaming cleanser removes dirt, oil and makeup. And does a fantastic job of it. Formulated without soaps, oils or alcohol, this cleanser is great for use in the sensitive eye area and it won’t dry out skin. Love this one! $6.99

Olay Regenerist Brightening Cream Cleanser

Olay Luminous Brightening Cream Cleanser is just out and it’s a cleanser I really like. This creamy hydrating wash gently exfoliates with little beads and brightens dull, uneven skin.  It has a light fragrance, rich texture and after use, skin is soft, glowing and feels silky. Can be used by all skin types. Although I didn’t see specific brightening ingredients listed, you do get a “brighter” effect with the exfoliating beads. Still, I really like this cleanser for year-around use.

derma e Vitamin A and Glycolic Cleanser

For combination or acne-prone skins, I’d recommend the derma e Anti-Wrinkle Vitamin A Glycolic Cleanser. This exfoliating gel cleanser contains Vitamin A, Glycolic Acid and detoxifying Marine Plant Extracts, which deeply penetrate the skin leaving it feeling super clean and fresh. Although there is Glycolic acid in it, I didn’t experience any irritation and absolutely love the fruity fragrance.

Radical Skincare Hydrating Cleanser

Radical Skincare Hydrating Cleanser is formulated for all skin types, but dry/mature skins will really appreciate the creamy consistency and anti-aging benefits. Designed to be a multitasking cleanser/makeup remover/toner and hydrator, your skin is left completely clean, soft and hydrated with use. It’s gentle, indulgent and effective.

ReVive Gel Cleanser

Another line that I’ve always had good results from is ReVive. The ReVive Gentle Purifying Wash is a gel cleanser that counts a variety of antioxidants, including Cucumber Fruit Extract, in it’s formula. The Gentle Purifying Wash deep cleans skin and is gentle enough to remove makeup. This formula can be used by all skin types, but I think it’s ideal for oily/combination/congested skins. It has a fresh fragrance and is non-drying to skin.

Phytoceane Radiance Cleansing Milk

Phytoceane Radiance Cleansing Milk is formulated with powerful marine extracts to thoroughly cleanse skin and brighten the complexion. Sea Lily Extract (seaside plant) works to prevent the appearance of dark spots and Brown seaweed extract helps to limit the skin’s natural pigmentation. It has a silky, creamy texture, is fragrance-free and can be used by all skin-types. Available atphytoceane.com.
