The CHANEL Cruise Dubai show held in May was the debut of a new eyeshadow palette: the limited-edition Chanel Rêve d’Orient Quadra Eyeshadow palette. Finally available, this eyeshadow palette arrives just in time for holiday splendor.
The inspiration for the makeup in the Cruise Dubai show was the kohl-lined eyes of the women in the UAE and Dubai, where the show was held. Backstage makeup was done by Tom Pecheux, who created a look that used the Chanel Rêve d’Orient Quadra Eyeshadow palette as the star. And in case you’re wondering about the gorgeous highlight effect on the models? It’s the CAMELIA DE PLUMES Highlighting Powder from the Plumes Précieuses de Chanel Holiday Collection (review).
The Chanel Rêve d’Orient Eyeshadow Quad includes shades of glimmering gold, rich brown, luminous beige and deep, matte black. The top of each eyeshadow is embossed with stars; gorgeous! This palette is almost too pretty to use, but honestly, it should be used because the colors are exquisite –especially for the holidays.
While I love the Les 5 Ombres de Chanel Palette also from Holiday Collection, if you’re a fan of warmer shades, you’ll adore the Rêve d’Orient Eyeshadow Quad. The pigmentation is so nice, you barely need to touch your brush to pick up the eyeshadow. If you look at the shades, you’ll also find that they’re surprisingly neutral and can work on nearly every skin tone and coloring. I like that this palette can be used in so many ways; if you have any of the LES 4 OMBRES Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow palettes (review), the finish on this palette is similar; multidimensional, vibrant, beautiful.
The Chanel Rêve d’Orient Quadra Eyeshadow palette ($70) is available at Nordstrom and debuts today on chanel.com (with complimentary shipping on all Rêve d’Orient purchases). Will you be picking this one up? My advice is a definite yes!
