MAC Patentpolish-ambient

One of my very favorite products, the highly popular M·A·C Patentpolish Lip Pencil returns as your go-to magic wand for high-impact lips. A unique blend of creamy emollients replenishes lips, keeping them soft with an ultra-smooth texture that isn’t heavy or sticky.

There are 14 shades in the M·A·C Patentpolish Lip Pencil Collection, including:

MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencils - 2015

  • Innocent – nude beige
  • Revved Up – creamy peach
  • Go For Girlie – bright yellow pink
  • Teen Dream – bright coral orange
  • Fearless – deep blue pink
  • Ruby – midtone rose
  • Pleasant – rosey pink
  • Patentpink – washed out lilac
  • Kittenish – mauvey pink
  • Spontaneous – soft plum with pearl
  • French Kiss – warm caramel
  • Clever – midtone brick coral
  • Hopelessly Devoted – bright clean fuschia
  • Sultana – dark grape

I’ve been a fan of M·A·C Patentpolish Lip Pencils since they debuted last year (review) and love the fact that they are now part of the permanent line. At that time, I previewed Revved Up, Patentpink and Spontaneous, so as you can see, some shades in this collection were in limited release previously.

This time out, I was able to try Sultana (top), Go For Girlie (middle) and Clever (bottom). If you’re looking for a great pink-nude color, I’d recommend Clever. It’s a warm shade that works as a perfect neutral. Sultana really is a true grape color and Go For Girlie is a girly pink.

What I love about the Patentpolish Lip Pencils is that they’re creamy, pigmented and so easy to work with. I like the chunky feel of the crayon in my hand, with the feel of a balm on my lips. Patentpolish Lip Pencils are definitely one of my holy grail M·A·C products!

You can find M·A·C Patentpolish Lip Pencils ($20) in department stores including Nordstrom and at I’m excited about Patentpolish Lip Pencils being permanent, are you?
