Jumping into the color cosmetics world with their first-ever eyeshadow collection, the butter London ShadowClutch is a new option in makeup portability. The ShadowClutch is designed to be a chic, customizable clutch that holds six eyeshadows and a dual-ended brush.
There are two ShadowClutch options available; Natural Charm, a warm palette, which includes mixed neutral shades in a variety of textures, including a green shimmer (Camo) and Pretty Proper, a more cool-toned palette with neutral shades, including grey. In addition, the collection includes four Wardrobe Duos that can be used to customize the palettes further.
The Natural Charm ShadowClutch (which I received) is very sturdy and I can see where this would be good for travel. The eyeshadows are primer-infused, oil-absorbing and skin-balancing and promises all day, crease-free wear. I tested the eyeshadows for longevity without a primer and got medium (about 6 hours) wear. I would consider the overall color payoff to be good. There is, however, quite a bit of eyeshadow fallout when sweeping the brush across the tablet.
I like the fact that the palette could be customized. Currently there are four Wardrobe Duos ($15 each) that you can purchase for more variety. I changed out the camo color for one of the shades in the Fancy Flutter Duo. It took a few minutes to figure out how to lift up the top of the palette, but once I did, it was easy to slide the eyeshadows in and out.
The butter London ShadowClutch ($39) case is beautiful and the eyeshadows inside are very pretty. You can find it at ULTA Beauty and at butterLondon.com. Is this something that you would consider adding to your collection? Let me know in the comments.
