Miu Miu, the first fragrance from fashion designer Miuccia Prada, is a bit of a contradiction…much like the designer herself. I love the concept of a multifaced fragrance, because we, as women, are multidimensional creatures.
Miu Miu Eau de Parfum is a statement in style and modernity. You can’t help but be drawn in by the bottle; it’s classical and whimsical at the same time. The soft blue quilted bottle is a nod to the Miu Miu matelassé bag; the red dot at the top gives us a hint that what’s inside is going to be youthful and flirty.
The Miu Miu fragrance starts out fresh with a grassy – floral feeling to it when you first spray it. I immediately get the delicate scent of Lillies of the Valley. Then, as Miu Miu develops, the floral notes of Jasmine and Rose Absolute become more prominent. The drydown is warm and woody, with Akigalawood and Patchouli. Miu Miu could be worn year around, but it’s lovely for Fall.
What really draws me into this fragrance is the ying-yang aspect of it. Miu Miu is soft and pretty, while having a distinctive, sophisticated quality to it. If you’re looking to update your fragrance for Fall, then Miu Miu is one that I would recommend.
