Makeup Wars Recent Beauty Splurges

Do you have a beauty brand or category (like blush) that is beauty kryptonite? For me it’s Chanel. I admit it…I’m powerless. No matter how hard I try, there is always something I see that is a must have. Before I know it, I’ve typed in the credit card number and whoosh! It’s on it’s way.

CHANEL Sunkiss Ribbon Blush Harmony

This week, the Makeup Wars bloggers are ‘fessing up about our recent beauty splurge and here’s mine…the new Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon Blush Harmony from the Spring 2016 L.A. Sunrise Collection.

I saw the Sunkiss Ribbon Blush and immediately ordered it; it’s beautiful. Five gorgeous shades of pink, beige and coral blush, bronzer and highlighter in an interlocked ribbon mosaic. On your skin, as you’d expect, it’s pure perfection. Finely milled and almost too pretty to use, I’ve been very pleased with the pigmentation in the Sunkiss Ribbon Blush. It’s satiny on the skin with a light iridescence (not sparkles) that gives an illuminating, glowy affect. There is a light floral fragrance.

There are many ways to wear this Blush Harmony; each shade individually, by dipping your brush into several shades, or swirling. For those that might think it too bright, honestly, when it’s on, the shades blend beautifully into one fantastic color. An angled blush applicator is included, but I prefer to use my own angled cheek brush.

Although it is pricey ($70), I don’t regret this purchase one bit. I know that I’ll be wearing the Sunkiss Ribbon Blush all year around; and when you calculate cost per wear, this will be a beauty bargain for me! You can find the limited-edition Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon Blush Harmony at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks and
