MAKE UP FOR EVER has introduced the Pro Sculpting Collection; products for eyebrows, lips and face that highlight, contour and add dimension. The products for highlighting and contouring just keep getting better and better.
At first when I saw the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Collection products that I was sent, I wasn’t sure they were something that I could see myself using. Boy, was I wrong!
The Pro Sculpting Face Palette is a four-pan cream palette with shades to highlight, contour, shimmer, and color. There are four shades available: light (20), medium (30), tan (40) and dark (50). I was sent the light and tan versions; light was the best shade choice for my skin tone.
I typically use powders for highlighting and contouring, so I was a bit intimidated by the cream formula. Not to worry; the texture is creamy and most importantly, buildable. So you can start out gingerly like I did, until you become more confident. Although I used my fingers, a brush or beautyblender can also be used. There is a guide included that shows where to place the sculpting products for your particular face shape–so helpful! To be totally honest, the overall look has been so natural that this has been the palette I’ve been reaching for every day.
The Pro Sculpting Lip pens are a unique double-ended makeup tool. There are four color combinations (10-Rosewood, 11-Rust, 40-Carmine Red and 50-Purple; see top photo). On the one side is a retractable, semi-matte lipstick, on the other side is an iridescent cream-to-powder highlighter. To highlight the lip area, apply lipstick first, then apply the highlighter in the center of the lips. It’s really a gorgeous effect!
I also love the Pro Sculpting Brow pen ($27). I have a love/hate relationship with brow products because it’s so hard to find the right one. Happy to report that this is my absolute new favorite brow product! The reasons that I like the Pro Sculpting Brow start with the fact that the pencil end is slanted, which makes so much sense; it’s so easy to work with and get a natural look. There is a spoolie comb attached for grooming, as well as a soft tip highlighter for the brow bone area. Available in five shades, I tried 20 (Dark Blonde) and 30 (Brown), which matched perfectly.
Overall, the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Collection is definitely worth checking out. There was nothing I tried that I wouldn’t absolutely recommend. You can find the Pro Sculpting Collection at Sephora or at makeupforever.com.
