A day at the spa is always a treat…especially at Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World. While the temptation at Walt Disney World is to go, go, go…a little downtime can enhance your vacation immensely!
There are two Senses spas on the Walt Disney World property: Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Senses – A Disney Spa at the Saratoga Springs Resort. Each offers standard spa treatments, but in addition to being on opposite sides of the WDW property, the facilities are a themed according to the resort where they are located.
In the case of Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, the theming is upscale Victorian. At Senses – A Disney Spa at the Saratoga Springs Resort (review) reflects a serene, nature-inspired them. If you’ll be getting married at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, the Grand Floridian location is ideal for pre-wedding pampering!
I noticed when I went this year, some of the offerings at Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort had changed/evolved from the prior year. This year, the products have also been updated to Eminence; a popular and very effective skin care line, offering many choices for a customized experience. When I had my facial, the esthetician was very experienced and had been there a number of years. She was extremely thorough and paid careful attention to my skincare needs.
Like at Senses–A Disney Spa at Saratoga Springs, the Grand Floridian location has a wet relaxation area with a steam room and whirlpool. Before your treatment, there is also a lovely lounge for relaxing.
There are 15 treatment rooms, and new since I was there last, are offerings for kids (ages 4-12), too! A perfect “Mommy and Me” day could include a Magical Manicure, or Prince or Princess Pedicure. These services must be booked accompanying by a parent or guardian, but how fun! And did you know that as part of a Manicure Service, you can add on Disney Nail Art Designs? Ask when you book!
I would highly recommend a visit to Senses, A Disney Spa at the Grand Floridian Resort. You can get more information and book services by calling 407-WDW- Spas. Of course, while you’re at Walt Disney World, there is much to see and do. I love the way the Parks are continually evolving. On our recent visit, I was excited to see the progress at Disney Springs. With many new retail and dining options, and more to come, don’t miss an opportunity to see the all-new Disney Springs!
