Just when you think Urban Decay can’t make the NAKED franchise any better, they come out with even more
goodness badness! A new NAKED Basics Palette and new NAKED Illuminated Trio are both gorgeous and worth adding to your collection.
I could use one of my NAKED Palettes literally every day; the colors are classic, can’t miss, always perfect. The twist with the new NAKED Ultimate Basics Palette is the 12 all-new eyeshadow shades have a matte finish. You can expect highly pigmented shades in a spectrum that ranges from warm to cool, so there’s something for everyone in this neutral collection. What I love is that even though Urban Decay continues to churn out releases, the quality hasn’t suffered. These eyeshadows are silky, buttery, beautiful to work with. The way I actually like to use the NAKED Ultimate Basics Palette is to mix colors from this and other NAKED Palettes, so I have variations in texture and dimension on the eye.
I was so excited to see the NAKED Illuminated Trio—it takes the original NAKED Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body (review) and in Urban Decay fashion, ups the wow factor. There are three shades in this palette: Pyrite (gold-champagne), Oasis (marbled frosted taupe) and Twilight (iridescent pink). You can mix and blend the colors with the included double-ended brush, which I really like. Since the NAKED Illuminated Trio is *pretty sparkly*, if you’re applying to the face, go gingerly; if you’re applying to the decollete, arms or elsewhere on the body, it’s fine. As far as pigmentation, it’s pretty light; these powders give a more sheer, glittery glow.
The Urban Decay NAKED Ultimate Basics Palette ($55) and NAKED Illuminated Trio ($36) is available at Sephora, Ulta Beauty, select Macy’s and urbandecay.com. Will you be adding to your NAKED Collection?
