Maybelline is out with numerous makeup launches this month, and two of the best include the Dream Cushion Foundation and Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer. The right foundation and concealer are essential for achieving the No Makeup Makeup look. This duo is the dream team you need!

Dream Cushion Foundation is a lightweight liquid formula in a portable compact. Dream Cushion Foundation provides luminous, buildable coverage. I’m using shade 20, which is Classic Ivory. In my experience (I can’t stop reaching for it!), the finish is natural and glowy, and I haven’t had any oxidation–an issue I have experienced with some Maybelline foundations in the past. For best results, apply Dream Cushion Foundation using the sponge applicator using a “stippling” or tapping motion; you can also use a BeautyBlender or foundation brush. I love cushion compact foundations (see my guide to cushion compact foundations) and have tried many, and this is definitely one of my favorites. Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation ($15.99) is available in 8 shades.

If you’re trying the Dream Cushion Foundation, I’d recommend picking up the Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer, too. This chubby new crayon has a creamy texture that conceals/covers imperfections and brightens dark circles. If you have other skin issues you need to hide, the large round surface area of the crayon makes that easy. I’ve found the Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer to give medium, buildable coverage, without looking cakey. There are light-reflecting pearls in the formula, for a brightening effect. As with any stick concealer, I found that slightly warming the tip before applying gives you the best result. The Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer ($7.99) comes in six shades (I use shade 30 Light/Medium).

Have you seen either of these new Maybelline New York releases yet? They’re a budget-friendly way to update your makeup bag!
