If you’re discovering the world of cleaner, greener or more natural beauty products, you’re not alone. Since last Fall’s Clean Beauty post, I’ve found even more products to recommend. In time for Earth Day, these are my new “green” favorites. Each one, in addition to being eco-friendly, smells amazing!

It seems that as we’re more proactive with our own wellness, we’re also more aware of incorporating cleaner, less toxic, more earth-friendly beauty products into our routines. Or maybe we’re discovering artisanal brands on Etsy and Instagram, and taking the plunge. I know I’m more conscious of products that fit into the natural/organic/ “clean” category than ever before.

Kérastase Paris has introduced their first-ever luxury, natural origin haircare collection, called Aura Botanica. I’ve been using the Aura Botanica Bain Micellaire, which is formulated without silicones or sulfates, and Aura Botanica Soin Fondamental, which conditions hair with a high concentration of natural oils including coconut, argan and sunflower. The formulas are 96-97% naturally derived ingredients. Not only are these products working great on my hair, I find I don’t have to use as much product with this range.

I’ve been intrigued by Youth To The People’s skin care line for a long time, and finally had a chance to try it out. Great skin starts with a good cleanser, and the Age Prevention Superfood Cleanser is packed with antioxidant-rich kale, spinach, green tea, and alfalfa for naturally glowing skin. I like that it’s gentle and doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped. Extra points for the fresh, natural scent. There’s a long list of what’s NOT in this cleanser (no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, added color or fragrance).

I’ve recently discovered the Phyto Replenish Oil from Dermalogica. This super-light treatment oil reinforces the skin’s protective barrier that’s been depleted by aging and environmental stress (hello!). The Phyto Replenish Oil has worked really well on my combination skin, absorbing quickly without leaving a residue. You press 4-6 drops into skin after cleansing, or you can mix into your moisturizer. The blend of oils, phytoactives and essences is formulated without artificial fragrances, colors or parabens. It smells divine!

One Love Organics has been on my radar because of their beautiful Instagram feed. I’ve had issues with dehydrated skin forever, and so when the Skin Dew Coconut Water Cream was suggested to me, I was curious to try it. Wow! This has made such a difference in my skin! The Skin Dew Coconut Water Cream is formulated with Coconut Water (think about that….known for it’s hydrating properties), Cupuacu Butter, Lactic Acid, along with Sunflower Seed Oil and a host of other natural ingredients. I’ve been using Skin Dew Coconut Water Cream twice a day, and am so glad that I discovered it.

Aveda is known for being one of the most eco-conscious brands out there. I’ve recently been using the Shampure Thermal Dry Conditioner and this is a find you need to know about. Since I shampoo my hair every other day, the Shampure Thermal Dry Conditioner is what I use to refresh dry hair on the “off” day. I love it, because it conditions and softens hair without weighing it down, and it restores shine. You know what else I love about this? It has the calming “Shampure” scent that I can’t get enough of.

I’ve been blissing out from The Body Shop’s new Almond Milk & Honey Body Care Collection. This new range nourishes skin with Community Trade Almond Oil from Spain and Community Trade Honey from Ethiopia. Although all skin types will love the Almond Milk & Honey Collection, it’s especially nice for sensitive skins. One of my favorites is the Almond Milk & Honey Hand Cream. Made with organic milk, this hand cream soothes, hydrates and protects sensitive, dry skin. Find it at thebodyshop.com.

Not only does CONTEXT make great skincare, they also make fabulous candles. I’m obsessed with the Citrus Paradisi Candle, which not only smells amazing, it’s earth-friendly, too. The energizing scent is tangerine-inspired, with citrus notes of White Grapefruit and Kaffir Lime, along with earthy cedarwood and oakmoss. The candle is 100% soy, and comes in a gorgeous matte black jar, which looks elegant and sophisticated. Available at ContextSkin.com.

Do you use environmentally-friendly, green, clean or natural products? I’d love to know your favorites! Let me know yours in the comments!
