Mother’s Day is right around the corner, so I’ve searched out some of the most special gifts that any mom would love and am keeping it real at under $75. Many gift guides break moms down into certain “types”, but I prefer to just pick out gifts that are beautiful. Like mom.
From Antica Farmacista, the Home Ambience Perfume Trio has the most luxurious packaging of any gift set I’ve seen this season. This trio of home fragrance diffusers is wrapped in a satin-lined box and will brighten your mom’s world, no matter where they are placed. The fragrances include new Lush Palm Home, a green floral; Bergamot & Ocean Aria, which blends saltwater notes with floral Jasmine and Lavender; Acqua, which blends sweet musk and cool marine algae notes. This is the only line of home diffusers that I’ll use. Not only do they look exquisite; the quality of the fragrances are exceptional.
If your mom is into long, soaking baths, a Floral-Infused Body Oil from Oak & Ashland is a practical and gorgeous gift. The Body Oil is composed of a blend of nurturing oils in an infusion of pretty flowers, placed in a vessel composed of recycled glass. This gift is a stunning way to give flowers that will last and last!
Every mom can benefit from using great makeup tools, and IT Cosmetics makeup brushes are among the best I’ve used (I use them daily). The Your Beautiful Basics Airbrush 101 Getting Started Brush Set has five essential brushes (powder, foundation, eyeshadow, crease and concealer) for the perfect airbrushed finish. The quality of IT Cosmetics brushes is amazing; this is a gift any mom would appreciate.
It wouldn’t be a gift guide without recommending something from philosophy. The I Think You Are Wonderful Set says it all. This two-piece set features philosophy’s Fresh Cream scents and includes a duo of Shampoo, Shower & Bath Gel and Body Lotion. The Fresh Cream scent is light and delicate, with notes of vanilla. And of course, the packaging from philosophy is always the best.
Why not get your mom a work of art? The Urban Decay Jean-Michel Basquiat Collection ($17-$39) allows you to do just that. The collection includes beautifully-pigmented eyeshadow palettes (one bright, one neutral), lipsticks, a blush palette–all in packaging that reflects Jean-Michel Basquiat’s artwork. On the back of each palette there’s a hook to display the artwork once the shadow pans are empty. Brilliant way to upcycle!
