How often have you seen “the perfect nude” lip shade…so perfect on Instagram…yet when you buy it and try it on yourself, it’s all wrong. That’s happened to me a million times. BECCA Cosmetics is out with new Lush Lip Colour Balms, which solve the problem of finding the “right” nude for you.
BECCA Lush Lip Colour Balms come in 8 shades, and have a light, satin formula. This lip colour is infused with jojoba oil to keep lips nourished and hydrated. It applies sheer, and can be built up to the depth of color you want. Although this is a balm, there is still a presence on the lips; it’s comfortable to wear, but not “slippery” as you might expect.
The Lush Lip Colour Balm range includes:
- Cafe au Lait – Peachy Beige
- Ginger Vanilla – Pink Coral
- Almond Fraise – Dusty Rose
- Chai Creme – Tawny Brown
- Milk Chocolate – Mauvey Brown
- Toasted Hazelnut – Rich Brown
- Cherry Ganache – Flattering Burgundy
- Black Violet – Sophisticated Plum
The range of colors in the collection recognizes that different skin tones can’t all wear the same nude shade. I remember getting a tip from a makeup artist at Fashion Week; that to find the correct shade of nude for you, you should match the color to the inside of your lip. I like to go one shade beyond that, so as not to look washed out. In this collection, my perfect nude shade is Almond Fraise.
And can we talk about the packaging for a second? It’s gorgeous! If you have a sharp eye, you’ll notice that the Lush Lip Colour Balm acrylic case matches that of the Soft Light Blurring Powder.
You can find the BECCA Lush Lip Colour Balm Collection exclusively at ULTA and beccacosmetics.com. Will you be adding to your nude lip collection?
