Good things come in pairs, and in the makeup world, nothing beats a great foundation and concealer. M∙A∙C is out with a partner to it’s Studio Waterweight Foundation (see my review); new Studio Waterweight Concealer, and it’s a winner!
The Studio Waterweight Concealer is true to the Studio Waterweight Foundation formula; super light but still pigmented enough to cover dark circles. It’s a medium-to-full buildable-coverage concealer, although you wouldn’t know that from the silky way it applies. The concealer also has optical blurring properties to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. In terms of applying, the dropper is a little clunky to use, so I would recommend a concealer brush or a micro mini Beautyblender.
M∙A∙C Studio Waterweight Concealer comes in 16 shades. I was generously sent four shades to preview. I love that there is no guessing across the line; I wear NC25 in M∙A∙C foundations and other concealers, and am NC25 in this formula, too.
What impresses me the most about Studio Waterweight Concealer is that you get long wear with hydration. Normal to dry skin types are going to love this concealer. There is no creasing or caking upon application. It is oil-free, though, so all skin types can definitely use it. In addition to the concealer, the Studio Waterweight collection includes a two-toned powder available, along with the foundation.
You can find the M∙A∙C Studio Waterweight Concealer ($23) in department stores including Nordstrom, in select ULTA stores, at M∙A∙C freestanding stores and maccosmetics.com. Is this a concealer you’ll be trying?
