I think the warmer weather is finally with us, which means I’ve been testing skincare for my spring-summer regimen. Mainly it’s about switching textures and adding more hydration. These are some of the products I’m loving right now, for spring into summer.

The first switch I make always starts with my cleanser. For spring and summer, I’m all about lighter textures, gel, or in this case jelly!  I recently have been using the Bliss Makeup Melt Dry/Wet Jelly Cleanser and really like it. It’s light and fresh; you can use it as a makeup remover on dry skin, or as a regular cleanser on wet skin. The rose scent is calming and luxurious. And I love the packaging re-do!

One of my new obsessions is the Fresh Deep Rose Hydrating Toner. Since my skin is chronically dehydrated, I need to infuse hydration back as much as I can. Contrary to toners you may have used in the past, the Deep Rose Hydrating Toner is gentle and formulated with rose-scented, moisture-retaining extracts, plus hyaluronic acid. It smells heavenly! I follow with the Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream, which is a lightweight moisturizer formulated with a combination of hyaluronic acids, antioxidants and rose flower oil. My face feels completely hydrated. This luxe skincare duo is highly recommended!

One of the staples in any skincare regimen is Vitamin C. I love Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Power Serum. It has a blend of three powerful antioxidants: a stabilized form of Vitamin C that’s 50 times more potent than traditional, 3% vitamin E and 2% Ferulic Acid. The formula is creamy, and I haven’t had any reactions, burning or sensitivity. Use this for anti-aging, brightening, improving fine lines and wrinkles and an overall glow. One month in and I’ve seen improvement in my skin. So good!

With warmer weather on the horizon, I like to incorporate products that are cooling. Kate Somerville’s Wrinkle Warrior Pink Plumping Mask is one that will be in my rotation. This pink gel is formulated with HA3 (three different sizes of Hyaluronic Acid) to plump, hydrate and smooth, leaving skin glowing. I love this mask because it really does improve the look of my skin. I like using it in the morning in the shower and before makeup application. I’m a fan of the entire results-oriented Wrinkle Warrior lineup, and of course, Kate Somerville products in general. One of my favorite lines!

Cooling and invigorating are exactly how I would describe The Body Shop’s Drops of Youth™ Youth Bouncy Eye Mask. The texture in this eye treatment is actually a bouncy gel; it has plant stem cells in the formula, known for their excellent hydrating properties.  The Drops of Youth Bouncy Eye Mask is infused with cucumber extract, which helps reduce puffiness. A refreshing choice that can be used daily as an eye cream or several times weekly as a mask. It’s 100% Vegan, too!

One product that I use year-around, but especially in the summer, is an exfoliating body scrub. The Dove Exfoliating Body Polishes are my new favorites! There are three scents available (each smells amazing!) formulated with the 1/4 moisture cream the Dove brand is famous for. The polishes use crushed macadamia, kiwi seeds or pomegranate seeds to buff away dry, dull skin, leaving it soft and smooth. So good, you’ll want them all.

If your skin concerns include large pores, hyperpigmentation, dark spots and/or acne, you might benefit from using Phytomer’s Emergence Even Skin Tone Serum. This lightweight serum attacks imperfections with an AHA, Glycol Acid and Lactic Acid formula. Apply to a clean face, twice daily. This serum boosts exfoliation, refines skin’s texture, evens and brightens skin tone. Make sure to wear a sunscreen, because the AHAs can cause sun sensitivity.

Let me know how you prepare your skin for the warmer weather!
