With summer in full swing, it’s time to do a little globetrotting, and the Urban Decay Born To Run Collection is ready to go. Pack your bag with the new Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette, Vice Lipstick shades, 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliners and a travel-size All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.

One thing that’s important to me when I travel is versatility, and that’s what I love about the Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette. It has 21 shades with various finishes in a mix of neutrals, brights and smokey shades, giving you the flexibility to create multiple looks. The past few Urban Decay palettes have all been hits for me (I love the Beached, NAKED Heat and Petite Naked Heat), so I was eager to test drive Born To Run. I have to comment on the gorgeous packaging. I love the cover, with it’s photo collage; inside there is a large mirror.

Although I love a good neutral palette, lately I’ve been into adding more color, so I appreciate the possibilites of the Born To Run palette. There are 19 new shades, 2 existing shades and endless combinations. The eyeshadows are silky and pigmented, with good color saturation and blendability. Finishes range from matte to shimmer to metallic. I’ve seen some UD bashing recently about decline in quality, but I’m honestly not seeing it in this, or the other recent palettes I’ve tested. Overall, very pleased with the Born To Run palette.

New Born To Run 24/7 Glide-On Eyeliners include Double Life (top, bronze metallic), Lucky (dark metallic copper) and Overdrive (deep green metallic). The Lucky shade is also included in the Beached Collection (see review here), and if you have blue eyes, it’s a must-have. All three shades are surprisingly neutral, creamy, smooth to apply and waterproof.

There are three Born To Run Vice Lipsticks: 66 is a neutral mauve shade with a matte finish, Marfa is a dark berry with pink micro-shimmer and Ready? is a bright rose sparkle. They’re all super pretty, and pair well with the colors in the Born to Run palette. If you feel like going a little edgier, Heroine would be a great pick.

And where have you been all my life, travel-size Born To Run All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray? I’m so excited to see this 1 oz. TSA-friendly size of All Nighter, dressed up with the Born To Run packaging. I’ll definitely be buying a backup of this!

My advice is to put the Urban Decay Born To Run Collection on your radar. You can find it online now (and in-stores June 24) at Sephora, Ulta, select Macy’s stores, and UrbanDecay.com.
