I’ve got drawers of lipstick, lip glosses, lip butters, stains and balms in my beauty storage, but a lip mousse? I think the new Urban Decay Lo-Fi Lip Mousse is a first! That’s making a statement when you consider the hundreds of lip products I have at my disposal.

Urban Decay’s Lo-Fi Lip Mousse is a weightless, highly pigmented, matte lip color. I’ve been obsessed with it since the first application because it’s unlike any other lip product I’ve used. Lo-Fi Lip Mousse comes in it’s own chic mirrored compact, and when you first touch it, it has a slightly bouncy, almost powdery feel.

There are eight shades in the Lo-Fi Lip Mousse range, from pretty pink neutrals to bold berries and bright red. The look is a “just-bitten” lip stain; you can apply with your finger or the sponge-tipped applicator that hides in the compact. The formula is truly weightless and has impressive long-lasting wear on the lips. I’ve been wearing Halo and Noise on repeat, but I have big plans for Boom come Fall!

Because the finish is matte, as with a lipstick, if your lips have any imperfections, you’ll want to use a lip scrub, and if needed, a conditioning lip balm prior to application. I’ll confess that I’ve already cheated and tried this as a blush, too (definitely doable!). You know me…I love a multi-tasker!

Urban Decay Lo-Fi Lip Mousse ($22) is available now at Sephora, Ulta Beauty and select Macy’s stores. Is this lip mousse something you’d try? Trust me, you need at least one in your makeup bag!
