Butter London has added to their Glazen™ line with new highlighting options, including Glazen Face Glow and two shades of Glazen Highlighting Gel. These new highlighters give you even more options for easy, fuss-free makeup.
I have highlighters in every texture…powder, cream, liquid and now gel. I mix and match, and to be honest, sometimes just grab one out of convenience. The new butter London Glazen Highlighting Gels ($26) are so pretty, they’ve definitely been getting a workout.
What I like about the Glazen Highlighting Gel formula is that is absolutely weightless on the skin…you can use it under or over makeup. It’s a water-based jelly formula that is easy to blend, adds hydration and doesn’t budge on the skin when you apply it. The product comes in a jar, so plan to either use your fingers, a foam brush applicator, or you could use a brush.
There are two Glazen Highlighting Gel shades available: Champagne (above middle, pale gold) and Chandelier (above right, pale pink). The overall effect is quite natural, whether on bare skin or makeup. I like that you can have a light-from-within look, or full on strobe.
Another addition to the highlighter line is Glazen Face Glow (top photo, far left; $28). This is a lightweight face highlighter that adds a dewy glow to skin. As with the Highlighting Gel, Glazen Face Glow has a jelly texture, so it can be worn by all ages, without worry of settling into fine lines. There is one universal shade, Crystal. The effect is one of a multidimensional shimmer with a pink shift that can be used over or under makeup, or mixed into your foundation or moisturizer.
A note on the packaging…because the Glazen products are in jars, you must remember to close tightly after each use or the product will dry out.
