Every few months I take the opportunity to rotate the beauty products I’m using. Whether it’s skincare, makeup, or hair care, I find that it keeps my routine fresh, while adjusting to the needs brought about by the changing seasons. These are the products I’m currently loving for Fall!
IT Cosmetics is one of my favorite brands, and chances are, one of your favorites, too. Big news on Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer….it now comes in 48 shades! Getting your perfect match has never been easier. I’ve used Bye Bye Under Eye for years; it’s one of the most reliable full-coverage concealers out there. The highly-pigmented formula won’t crease or crack, has skin-loving ingredients like antioxidants and hyaluronic acid, and approves the appearance of wrinkles. I found my exact match in Medium Natural; you can find your exact match here.
One product you’ll always find on my vanity is a face mist, and I love the new Face Mists from The Body Shop. You can literally use one from sunup to sundown! These face mists can be used for refreshing skin, refining skin’s texture, giving a dewy finish, mattifying or calming. My favorite is the Rose Dewy Glow Face Mist, which illuminates skin and gives it a dewy, fresh finish. It smells amazing, with a blend of raspberry essence, cherry water and rose essence.
I’m constantly testing new eyeshadow palettes, and one that just came across my desk is the Maybelline New York Soda Pop Palette. This eyeshadow palette is excellent for fall, with a blend of neutrals and bold pops of color. Plus, it’s scented like soda pop! One thing that impressed me was the color payoff in this budget-friendly palette. The shadows are highly pigmented, blend out well and are long-lasting. Use the top “half” for a neutral, daytime look, and the more dramatic bottom shades for a night out. The Soda Pop Palette is a nice way to stay on trend without spending a fortune.
COVERGIRL Flourish Mascara by LashBlast is my latest mascara obsession. It’s always great to find a drugstore mascara that compares to much more expensive brands, and I feel this one does. I’m not a fan of some of the huge brushes that are out now, so I love that this one is a normal size. For lash separation and length, Flourish Mascara by LashBlast is excellent. I’d consider this a very “natural looking” mascara. I like the formula, too, as it “feels good” on lashes–with coconut oil, avocado oil and papaya oil, the formula is creamy and not drying. The best part is that not once during testing (a week of every day wear) did I experience clumping, smudging or flaking. Definitely a keeper!
The only way to get smooth, glowing skin is by exfoliating. I generally have used a scrub 3-4 times per week in the shower. Fleur’s Delightful Body Exfoliating Mist is a convenient, refreshing and fast way to exfoliate your body! I spray this moisturizing mist after my shower on arms, legs, ankles and even the backs of my hands and the effect is remarkable with continued use. The Delightful Body Exfoliating Mist has a citrus, slightly floral scent, and has natural enzymes to eliminate dead skin cells for soft, smooth, skin. There’s Jojoba Oil, Poppy and White Lily in the formula too, to help moisturize, nourish and regenerate skin. Find it at lespausa.com.
I’ve been an Origins user forever, so when I see a new skin treatment to try, I’m always excited. Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins Oil-Free Resurfacing Cream moisturizes skin, plus has fruit-derived AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids) to retexturize skin. This gel-cream treatment also has antioxidants, minerals and hydrators, along with essential oils like Neroli, Valerian and Vanilla. It smells amazing! I like that it doubles as a sleeping peel, so your skin is getting double the benefits. I didn’t experience any sensitivity or irritation from this product. Overall, this is a really great night cream…highly recommend for normal/combination/dry skin types.
Having and using a good hair mask is essential any time of year. Kerastase Nutritive Masquintense is a concentrated treatment that restores softness and shine to hair. I like to use this once a week to keep my hair moisturized, smooth and in good condition. It’s an excellent treatment to repair dry post-summer hair. Apply about a quarter sized amount to wet hair and leave in for 5 – 10 minutes before rinsing out. There are formulas available for both thick and thin hair.
