The new MAC Electric Wonder Collection is out, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you. This summer collection was inspired by the awe of nature. The colors, textures and packaging are on point, in pink, with elegant gold marbling. Trust me, you’ll want it all!
I love the seasonal MAC releases; the on-trend collections are always designed with broad appeal and universally wearable shades. The MAC Electric Wonder Collection is no exception. The products in this collection are largely neutrals, and so wearable. Add to that the gorgeous pink marble packaging (perfect for the ‘Gram!) and you have a collection that is sure to sell out.
Key pieces from the MAC Electric Wonder Collection include:
Electric Wonder Eye Shadow X12: Natural Vice Palette: As far as I can tell, the only eyeshadow that is a reissue is Cork; a classic neutral shade. The other shades go from light to deep, making a soft smoky eye for summer easy to pull together. The palette has a mix of textures, the shades are mostly warm-toned and pigmented, easy to blend and have little to no fallout. This is my favorite of the two eyeshadow palettes.
Electric Wonder Eye Shadow X12: Desert Lightning: This the cooler of the two eyeshadow palettes. Brun is the only reissue, all remaining eyeshadow shades are new. As above, there is a nice variety of textures. The quality of the eyeshadow is good; blendable with good color payoff.
Electric Wonder Lipstick in: Feelin’ Sedimental (light coral beige, satin finish), Let’s Mesa Around (bubble gum pink, lustre finish), Life In Sepia (mauvey brown, matte), Natural Born Leader (red berry, matte) and The Naturalist (peachy nude, lustre). These lipsticks are so gorgeous and wearable, that if you can find them, I say buy them all!
Electric Wonder Lipglass in: Coral Of The Wild (coral nude, Make Me Mercurial (berry with slight pink), Marble Faun (white with gold pearl) and Rock Starz (cool bronze). My favorite shade is Make Me Mercurial, a rose-berry shade that’s so pretty on.
Ignite Wonder Face Palette: My favorite piece of the collection. The Ignite Wonder Face Palette is absolutely gorgeous, with wearable, blendable, warm-toned highlighter colors. The powders are a cream-powder; meaning you can use fingers or a brush for application (I prefer a brush for more control). Overall, I found the quality to be very good; with all-day wear. Definitely grab this one for a versatile highlighting option!
Electric Wonder Iridescent Powder in Into Eternity (rosy pink) and Serenity Seeker (warm gold). There is a sparkle finish to this powder; it’s beautiful. The pigmentation is substantial enough that you could get away with using this as a blush; especially the Into Eternity shade.
Next to Nothing Bronzing Powder in Canyon Dreamin’ (yellow brown) and Sun-Soaked Strip (warm light red brown). I’ve always liked MAC Bronzing Powder, which is blendable and doesn’t look ashy or streaky. The finish doesn’t have any detectable sparkle to my eye, so you could also use this as a contouring powder.
Brushes include the 126 SES Split Fibre Large Face Brush (seriously, a must-have and sold out many places already!) and the 234 SES Split Fibre Eye Blending Brush, which is a staple of any makeup brush collection.
